History


Ashkenatza was founded in 2008 by Moshe Goltz and Hesam Jandahar. The following details key events in the Republic's history.

  • August 2008: Ashkenatza is founded by Moshe Goltz and Hesam Jandahar
  • September 2008: Provisional government is led by Laz Krakowski
  • Late 2008: The Kingdom of Tellia annexed by Ashkenatza, size doubles
  • February 2009: Bundist Party candidate Moshe Goltz elected Nohsi, constitutional convention takes place
  • April 2009: Pachad Emet ben Mavet elected Nohsi, soon forced to resign, provisional government formed by Moshe Goltz, 
  • June 2009: Elections take place, National Unity Government formed by Nohsi Szhmuel Astopov of the Green Thunder Legion and Chaim Wajnstein of the Ashkenatzi Democratic Party
  • July 2009: Astopov government collapses, ben Mavet takes power, on the 18th Astopov is restored to Ruzhin Palace
  • August 2009: Elections, not contested by controversial GTL Nohsi Astopov, are won handily by Bundist Goltz,Mahoz HaSephardim overseas territory established
  • Late August 2009: Ocian aggression leads to a declaration of war, Ashkenatza emerges vitorious as the fall moves on
  • September 2009: Eagle-Bagel Pact signed with Antica
  • November 2009: Goltz re-elected Nohsi
  • December 2009: Szhmuel Astopov elected first Speaker pro Tempore of the Knesset, Organized Proposal Bill passed to standardize legislative process
  • Late 2009: Tellian separatists declare independence, are quickly crushed
  • Early 2010: Insurrection in Mahoz region crushed, simulationist legislation (including the Tobacco Control Act) passed
  • February 2010: Now Bundist candidate Chaim Wajnstein elected Nohsi of the Republic, Knesset votes to withdraw from the Small Commonwealth
  • March 2010: Nohsi Wajnstein resigns suddenly, asking Goltz to form a government, instead emergency elections take place with the Natsyonal Farband's ben Mavet elected Nohsi
  • Spring 2010: First Tellian Nohsi, Bartholomeo Henzelli, elected, 
  • December 2010: Guy Zalmanov elevated to position of Nohsi by the Knesset, serves as a non-partisan executive
